こんにちわみんなさん、おげんきですか。レーシュ オーウェンさんです。
The Eminence in Shadow is a currently airing isekai/comedy anime that has been a simple and fun watch for the past few months. The show is probably one of the best examples of an anime making light of anime tropes that I have come across since One Punch Man. In effect, the main character is overly dramatic, makes random comments on a whim that become major plot elements, and is quite simply ridiculously overpowered. There is also the added comedy of the main character wishing to appear as much like a side character as possible. While the show might not be the deepest or most philosophically engaging anime that I have watched, it is a great lighthearted show that does what it intends to do to the T.
I have seen various examples of how my Japanese study has improved my skill in understanding conversational Japanese, and most recently in understanding how objects are actually counted in shows. I have been using subtitles for this show as I am worried about missing out on the story or certain jokes but I have found myself having to rely on them less and less.

Sounds interesting! Was this one of the easier ones to understand without subtitles?
