Vivy Fluorite Eye's Song has been on my too-watch list for some time and I have finally made my way around to watching it. I haven't made it all the way through the show but it has been a pleasant surprise. I was anticipating a rather motiveless plot and was wondering how the main character being an idol and essentially fighting to save the world could possible be reasonably reconciled. The show definitely exceeded my expectations, with surprisingly tactful combat and some genuinely hilarious dialogue. All that being said I don't particularly feel as though the show brings anything unique or groundbreaking to its audience. It is a good watch if you are trying to burn some time, but ultimately it isn't much more than just that, a time burner.
I watched a great deal of the show without subtitles and was actually able to follow along rather well! I especially noticed a lot of -tai form verbs as well as -ndesu expressions. I have definitely come a long way from where I started!
