Dr. Stone is an anime with a rather unique premise and general approach. The story centers around Senku, and high school student who is by all accounts a genius of science. The primary motivator of the plot? The entirety of the worlds human population has been turned into stone statues and three thousand years have passed, leaving Senku, the first to wake up after this cataclysmic event, to pick up the pieces. Senku proceeds to quickly make scientific rediscovery after rediscovery using his knowledge of science. In this sense the show is rather informational, and as Eagle Scout I rather enjoy the "survivor"-esque nature of the show. It is rather simple in plot, character motivation, and has a rather sunny approach to hardship, but overall it is an entertaining watch.
Once again I am feeling more and more confident listening to anime without relying at all on subtitles. I am in particular picking up a significant quantity of そうです grammatical structures and でしょうか question structures. In addition the most recent chapters addition of directional vocabulary and calendar structures has been rather noticeable and helpful.
