こんにちわみんなさん、お元気ですか。レーシュさんです。 Death Note was another one of the first anime shows that I got into during the summer of 2020. I thoroughly enjoyed my first watch but never actually finished the show as I stopped after about episode twenty when there is a rather significant event in the plot. With this change the primary reason I was watching the show disappeared, and I inadvertently just stopped watching Death Note. I however have several times revisited those first few episodes as they are honestly a masterclass in suspense and expectation subversion. Death note does a great job of making tension with such a simple basis for conflict: it is a show about a detective trying to catch a criminal. What makes Death note so powerful is that you end up rooting for both sides as you are shown the chase from both perspectives. This combined with the supernatural elements and the great soundtrack make Death Note the must watch that it is. I have really started to find great enjoyment in rewatc...
